Get Involved with BHWRP
Your support is important to our work at Black Hawk Wildlife Rehabilitation Project. There are many ways you can contribute towards our causes, and every little bit that you commit goes a long way in helping us fulfill our mission. Learn more about how you can get involved.

Rehab Intern
Black Hawk Wildlife Rehabilitation Program is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers. Because of this, BHWRP is non-traditional in organization, with no central sight. Interns must be autonomous and motivated and able to organize their own time. It is possible the intern could end up working at various sights with various rehabilitators.
There is NO STIPEND offered with this internship. Like all members of the organization, the intern is also a volunteer. BHWRP makes every effort to pay expenses the intern may have (e.g. transportation for BHWRP). We also try to do all we can to benefit the intern with flexible scheduling, customizing the internship to fit the interests of the intern, letters of recommendation, etc.
Volunteer
We encourage the applicant to interview first, visit our various rehab sites, talk to BHWRP volunteers, and talk to former interns. Volunteers with Black Hawk Wildlife Rehabilitation Project are available for programs and presentations.
There is no charge for our program. We do appreciate transportation costs and we will gladly accept donations. We are an unfunded and totally volunteer organization, (501c3), so we depend on our donations for our work. (See our mission statement.)
